Westerwood Neighborhood Community Resource Officer: Officer Rosann Talbert 

Officer Talbert is from the Greensboro Police Department and is assigned to our neighborhood as our Community Resource Officer. Her responsibilities at the Greensboro PD include providing safety information to residents and businesses and assisting neighborhoods with any repeated criminal activity.

Animal Control

Animal Control is responsible for enforcing State laws and County ordinances pertaining to animal control, animal cruelty, and abuse in the rural areas of Guilford County, the city of Greensboro, as well as the town of Jamestown. They are available Monday-Saturday from 8am-5pm. After hours or on holidays the non-emergency line with Guilford Metro EMS will answer calls. 


Black Diamond Backyard

Black Diamond Backyard is a wild and rambling 2 acre educational urban orchard and community garden located on the edge of downtown Greensboro North Carolina at the corner of Guilford Avenue and Prescott Street.The Backyard is also located right off the Downtown Greenway Loop and situated on the divide between the Westerwood and Cedar Street neighborhoods, within walking distance of downtown, Deep Roots Food Cooperative, UNC Greensboro and Greensboro College. The goal for Black Diamond Backyard is to protect and preserve this small section of abundant and biologically diverse urban green space for future generations to enjoy.
