Tour route overview

Start: Lake Daniel Park

Begin at the Lake Daniel Park pavilion to explore stone bridges, WPA-era improvements, and the greenway connection that anchored Westerwood's early recreation.

Look for interpretive signage installed during the 2019 centennial celebration.

Midpoint: Courtland & Lakeview

Stroll Courtland Street for classic Craftsman homes with low-pitched roofs, then turn onto Lakeview Street to admire Tudor cottages with steep gables and half-timbering.

Historic plaques mark homes built by architect Harry Barton and builder D.W. Carter.

Finish: Guilford Avenue

Conclude near Guilford Avenue with Colonial Revival homes, mid-century infill, and the site of the former Moore farmhouse that inspired Westerwood’s garden suburbs.
